US Sailing, the national governing body of the sport, has joined forces with the pinnacle event in sailing – the iconic America’s Cup – to introduce, inform and educate a new generation of sailors.
The new website at www.startsailing.org offers visitors an exciting and easy-to-follow introductory view of sailing, including information on the various types of sailboats, the basics of sailing, tips on how to get started and find access to boats and lessons, as well as other ways to get involved.
Two current stars joined forces to raise over NZ$200,000 to assist two former America’s Cup stars in their next quest: the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Russell Coutts and Grant Dalton, CEO’s of current champions Oracle Team USA and the challenger Emirates Team New Zealand sparred at a black-tie fundraiser in Auckland, New Zealand, for Richard Dodson and David Barnes.

Racing in the Louis Vuitton Cup, the America’s Cup Challenger Series, officially begins on July 7 with a match between Emirates Team New Zealand and Luna Rossa Challenge

The America’s Cup trophy on display in the model room at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in London, on Wednesday evening. Tonight, the Cup, along with the Louis Vuitton Cup, is at the Mall Galleries for the Legends in London event.
